Ok… I know the title is RANK… but it’s catchy and I think it really makes a lot of sense. There is only a few real people I can talk about that know what is going on with Social Media. And I am going to give you some great advice to get you in on the action.

First before you think social media is not a wise investment, I think you are looking at it in the wrong perspective. Social Media is a relationship builder and not  to sell anything. In fact you may have came to this page through one of my social media posts. And that’s great, because before I would even think to SELL ANYTHING… I would want you to know who I am.

Quick Education In Social Media:

If you are new at this social media thing… no problem. Here is all you need to know about it. Social media is a place where people can collaborate and mingle directly online. Not only that people actually are conversely connected to each other.

The large social media players right now: (These are getting more traffic than Google… lol!)

If you don’ have accounts to these, you should at least get one of the top 3 listings I have setup.

2. Twitter
3. Linked In

To keep things simple, just know that these 3 social media domains are a great way to start and each one of them is used differently and in it’s own way. Right now, Face Book is getting so many new visitors a day it’s crazy.

4. Develop A You Tub Channel Like mine Then Upload Your Videos There
5. Embed The You Tube Videos Into The Post It Refers To (This helps more views and higher ranking video)
6. Add Clickable Links In Your YouTube Account Video
7. Transcribe Content From Video And Post It In To Another Blog
8. Get A Linked In Account
9. Recommend People You Know In Linked In
10. Answer Questions In Linked In
11. Start Up Your Face Book Account
12. Develop A Face Book Page… (Not a profile.. a Page, these are for business)
13. Build Pages For Your Face Book Pages
14. Grab RSS Feeds From Your Blogs With The Videos and Headlines You Did…Put them in FaceBook
15. Join Groups In FaceBook Relative To Your Industry
16. Make Status Updates

That is a fairly decent steps to take, but if you do these steps you will surely be well on your way to grabbing more traffic to your website and traffic. Some may not want to hear this.. but I need to know what is going to convert and what is not going to convert. So I run some ads to my pages and see what keywords convert and do some testing. This will allow me to have a better return on my traffic getting campaign.

After I discover the keywords and best performing ads, this is where I take some serious action.

Taking Serious Action On Getting Traffic To A Website

Article Directories: I would grab all the list of article directories and start pumping some major content to the largest ones. Of course this will be unique content, but at the bottom of these articles you will want to make sure the good ol link text of your keyword is there. It really is that simple…

Now sometimes you can put link text in the body and this is great, but test. You could not get your article approved if they think it is too spammy.

Article Directories I Use For More Traffic To My Website

1. Ezine Articles – This is a very well known site for great articles. And people read them… It amazes me how many come to me and ask “how do I get traffic to my website..” and I tell them from people who read my articles on article directories. They get this blank stare and sometimes are off struck by it…
2. Go Articles – I like this site as well, you can post your article link text in the body sometimes.
3. Buzzle – My good ol buzzle… this site is older too but I like the articles and the ability to submit their index.

I Use Forums To Get More Traffic To My Website

You know, forums are really the original social networks of the internet. If I ever wanted to get really targeted traffic to my website I simply would go on theme related forums and post good comments. Be sure to post your bio with a link back to your website so they know where they can more information. This is a great ol strategy many people simply miss.

I Use Web 2.0 Site To Get Traffic To My Website

The game has became more social and web 2.0 is a great way to get some traffic to your website. Below are a list of traffic generation sites if you post content to can bring some great traffic back.

Hub Pages – This is nice site although they do have rules, don’t try to send multiple links to one domain from a post. They will be no follow. If you don’t know about no follows or the tools to use, then be sure to learn more how I get traffic to my website.

Squidoo – This is another UGC (user generated content) site. This site is similar to Hub Pages and can post content and leverage traffic from their network. Just write good content and you will be fine. Try to throw one link in there back to your website or blog.

WetPaint – Ahh… maybe you never heard about this site… but they get decent traffic. The downside is, they don’t pass page rank. But you can get traffic as I seen my analytics pop with this traffic on my business websites.

Traffic To My Website Only Happens By Taking Action

These are a few you can start with… I don’t want to overwhelm you so you get PARALYSIS BY ANALYSIS. So review the sites above and write one unique 350 to 500 word article with a link back to your website or blog and you will see some traffic generate.

I fall victim to this myself, but sometimes you may be doing tasks that are non-money making tasks. There are thousands of them and if you want to grow faster you will need to develop a small system to handle that task or train someone to do it efficiently and continue focusing on bringing in the bacon.

You may feel like you are building your business from ground zero, but this is a good thing. Because becoming a Rich Alchemist and a true CEO is really about the journey and changing yourself into a systematic thinker. You will need to learn to not work in your business, but on your business. This is the true secret to starting an online business many seem to forget! You see… I failed so many times that I have built businesses from scratch only to learn the shortcuts in life to gain success faster. In your business you will find that starting from ground zero may be a daunting task, but if you focus on acquiring new customers and setting up a system to funnel them into your sales system, you can really explode your profits.

How To Focus On Making Money Tasks:

Below are some area I specifically enjoy working on and brings in good returns.

1. Paid Marketing Campaigns - Create offers for your prospects and put together a marketing campaign. Find out what the prospects really desire. Their deepest challenges and offer them a solution. Since I found I could get a return on managing Pay Per Click with my PPC team, I offer a CPA (cost per acquisition number) and it is there job to develop a great ad (I collaborate), but they setup the split testing and squeeze pages. I simply give them the offers and we all collaborate on the project.

Question: What if my team members don’t know how to manage a pay per click campaign or I just don’t trust them?

Answer: This usually means you have not setup a training course or possibly you don’t know how to do it yourself. This is common with a lot of CEO’s. We are just so darn busy in everyday tasks we need to focus on what will bring us a better ROI for the company. And that is investing in our team. Teaching them…

Another cool quote I heard… can’t remember from who, but…  “If you can’t tell someone step by step how to do it… you don’t know what you are doing”.

2. Developing Systems For Jobs I Am Doing: I always will review my day’s work and see what the heck I am doing on a daily basis. It may be search engine optimization, pay per click management or business building stuff…. Lately I was and sometimes still am diving deep into managing the PPC campaign for our Rich Alchemist program. Now while I am focusing on grabbing new people into the network, I know I could systemize this and train my team so they may manage this on a full time routine. This will allow me then to find new media channels to expand my reach of small business to medium owners. So as you start doing tasks, yes some may be productive, but remember the super productive mentality where you can delegate the task to place your self as a true Rich Alchemist CEO.

Question: What if my systems I create are HALF ASS or not that great?

Answer: Don’t worry… the fact that you are getting a system in place is a GREAT and you should be proud. You will at least have something which you can call the base. And you can always modify it in the future. Processes are always being modified so don’t worry.
